HEADING FOR THE FAR NORTH!
Every season, Easy Peasy highlights endangered species in its collections, with the aim of raising awareness of animal protection among young and old alike. After exploring the farm, the savannah and the forest, we decided to turn the spotlight upwards, by heading for the far north. To do this, Easy Peasy asked the French artist Ligne Rétro to create this adorable limited edition crocheted cuddly toy for us!
With this little penguin, Easy Peasy wants to raise awareness of the cause of the animals on the ice floes, who are among the first victims of global warming... and at the same time open up to a fashionable discipline, that of homemade. All the more reason to come up with new low-carbon gift ideas!
ABOUT LIGNE RÉTRO
Ligne Rétro is a French brand created by Virginie Karakus in 2014. The designer makes crochet soft toys and dolls that are 100% made in France, handmade in a workshop in the Rhône-Alpes region. Production is local, artisanal and has a low ecological impact, values shared by Easy Peasy.
The brand also offers DIY kits and tutorials so that everyone can make their own crochet creations. The author of several books, ‘Ligne rétro’ takes the dust off this age-old art with her timeless, fun, vintage style.
