Our adventure started in 2008, from the meeting of two young creatives who were looking for a way to combine their taste for design and their environmental awareness.
To give meaning to their work, they have chosen to design little slippers in responsible materials.
This DNA is the heart of the Easy Peasy brand, it is what we call our Eco-family.
At Easy Peasy, we put all our heart into the making of our slippers. That's why every component, from the raw material to the packaging, is carefully thought out.
That's why every part of our products, from the raw materials to the packaging, is carefully thought out.
Our products are made from vegetable-tanned leather, a gentle method of processing leather from leaves and bark. We do not use chrome in the processing of our leather.
Our natural crepe soles are glued with water-based glue, to avoid any danger when the baby wears the slippers in his mouth.
Our little slippers don't travel around the world, we love our planet too much to pollute it! According to our calculations, they travel about 1,100 km between the workshop where they are manufactured in Tunisia and our Ali Baba's cave, our logistics centre in Lyon, which is barely more than the distance between the tip of Finistère and Monaco!
Our shoes are all designed and developed in France, in Cholet in Maine et Loire.
It's in our design office that we draw the shapes, choose the colours and select the leathers to give life to our little slippers and our pretty accessories.
Our slippers are then manufactured in a family workshop in Tunisia, which employs 86 people in the Tunis region.
Each of our pieces is designed as a gift. A gift for a birth, a gift for a birthday, or simply to please your little one. That's why we pay particular attention to the details of our little booties, from their design to the packaging.
To achieve this, we have developed a fully recyclable box, which is itself made from recycled materials.
On the nice box you see here, everything can be recycled: the window is easily detached to be thrown in the plastics and the cover and the box go in with the cardboard.
And yes, little ones have a reflex to put everything they find in their mouths, it's part of the first learning phases of life. And to avoid any danger, we have chosen to use water-based glue, without solvent, to glue the soles of our slippers.
Well, because they are the sentinels of nature. Each animal that adorns our pieces is chosen either because it is part of everyday animals we meet (cat, dog, mouse) or because it represents an endangered species (koala, seahorse, lion).
Allowing children to learn to recognise animals is also awakening their awareness to the preservation of nature and species.
Whether it's the health of our children, our employees or the planet.
From the vegetable tanning of our leathers to the use of water-based glues, each of our choices is well considered.
Because we can never be positive enough!
By choosing to buy our pieces, you are also choosing to join our beautiful eco-family.
